Silas hung out with Aunt Katie for the afternoon (so he could eat peacefully and take his afternoon nap) while Tristan, Paul, and I went out to lunch with Paul's mom and my brother-in-law. It was a lot of fun! After lunch we all went and saw The Iron Man. It turned out to be pretty good, although there were definitely a few scenes right there at the beginning that WERE NOT "kid friendly" (hence the PG-13, I guess), and really very unnecessary ...
... All in all, though, it was a fantastic Mother's Day! I missed being with my mom, but my prayer is that we will be together soon, and I fully intend on taking her out to celebrate then ;-)!
P.S. I just want to send a little "shout out" to all of my other "Mommy-friends"! I saw many of you at church today, but didn't get to talk to all of you ... "Happy Mother's Day, ladies!" You are all amazing, and you each inspire me!
My good friend, Andie, brought me Mother's Day flowers from her home's garden yesterday, and it touched me so much. I wish that I would think to do things like that for my friends ... Please know that, in my heart, that is how I feel about you, sister's in Christ. You are each a blessing to me, and a crowning glory to your husbands and families. God bless!!!
